I bask in the memory of those orange afternoons when the tires run smoothly on a sun-kissed asphalt. My heart just stared blankly at everything, unabashed, silent and roaring.

Comments on recent life (Med school)

bookworming

Who stole the years? What happened to the young happy mindless in-betweens?
How did you skip and jump to feeling so old and lifeless?
Where did it all go? Who drew these bleak outlines on your soul?
We keep struggling under distant stars.

Tonight, I want to bark at them.
Ask them why they look so beautiful up there,
while a clueless little girl curl up in this bed,
listening to forgotten dogs as they tear the quiet.

Sometimes we have to go down and break. Fall apart. Lose ourselves. Fail.
The journey down is a sad one. But my heart is still here. I didn’t lose it.

And I will rise from this fall. Definitely.
